Will there be a TimeMachine server component to manage backups in networked environments? How does it handle mobile computers?

Also, will Time Machine do encrypted backups over the internet??? How about backing up to multiple locations/servers/disks for redundancy???

Backup Server will be in Leopard Server, so... yes to RolandG, dunno about encrypted (would assume so), and I suspect they're expecting RAID to handle redundancy, although I wouldn't be shocked if they had 'backup targets' that you could choose from, and have multiple servers there.

Can you provide a link to further information? Or was this communicated in a WWDC session?

Once configured, it’s just as easy to use. The new Automatic Client Setup feature automatically configures Mac OS X Leopard clients to use the server for all essential services, including file and printer sharing, Mail, iCal, iChat, Address Book, and backup.

I see, that is pretty straight forward... not very detailed, unfortunately.

Nope. Seem to remember a mention of 'to a server' in the keynote too though.
