I lost the battle...

I tried...

Almost 2 months waiting for the Merom MBP to come out, it never happened. (Not like it was going to, anyways...)

I pondered, debated, and thought endlessly what I should do about buying a new computer.

I finally gave in today and bought a Mac Pro at the Apple Store to sooth my withdrawls.

Goodbye portability, hello performance!!!

I figured I still have my powerbook g4 to do my little things like internet, word processing, take it to school, etc.

The thing is, I'm like a new user now. I don't know what to do with this thing! I haven't even played a computer game in 5 years...

Come to think of it, it WAS 5 years...Monkey Island IV

Haha, you'll get used to it. I personally think it's better to have a great desktop and a get-the-job-done laptop, because it's cheaper and easier keeping your desktop up-to-date than your laptop.

Sure, they're convenient, but you're always going to get better performance for less with a desktop.

    Yeah, it was alright...

Just got this thing running. It sure beats a Powerbook G4 400Mhz...

Placebo, I don't know how you're going to wait another month for this thing. It's pretty sweet...

When you move out of the parent's house, you find out otherwise.

Those of use with solid jobs tend to have a notebook and a desktop. I was more refering to college, in which case there is very little room to have a big desktop.
