For rendering four frames at once.
Although I bet EI still renders much faster on the Quad G5.

The Mac Pro will enhance your perception of phallic endowment to far greater lengths than a piddly little MacBook. Pfffthht!

Go there and come back before the MacBook realizes it was told to go there and come back.

Not much right now as there aren't many pro apps available that run natively. I think I’ll wait until next year to buy one, I currently own a Macbook and I’m not really impressed with the performance of some of the apps.
Photoshop
Illustrator
Quark
Must be native before I buy.

Well It can drain your wallet a lot better than a Mac Book.
$15,184.00 - Maxed out at the apple store (and that is with just one 30" display)

If you have to ask that question, then you don't need a Mac Pro. Only a person who truly knows the answer to that question needs one.
