    Although I bet EI still renders much faster on the Quad G5.

    Not much right now as there aren't many pro apps available that run natively. I think I’ll wait until next year to buy one, I currently own a Macbook and I’m not really impressed with the performance of some of the apps.

    Illustrator

    Quark



    Must be native before I buy.

    Well It can drain your wallet a lot better than a Mac Book.



    $15,184.00 - Maxed out at the apple store (and that is with just one 30" display)

    If you have to ask that question, then you don't need a Mac Pro. Only a person who truly knows the answer to that question needs one.
