Logic board compatibility

I have an iMac G4 1Ghz 17" FP with a bad logic board. Can I replace it with a board for a 1Ghz 15" FP? Or any other board, for that matter? Thanks for your help!

    Well, I've never ventured into the guts of a G4 iMac, but I would ispeculate that if they're from the same product revision the boards are probably interchangeable.
