LCD iMac - can it span display

Guys,

Do you iMac owners out there know if one can span the 15" LCD iMac display across an addtional monitor running at a higer rez then the builtin 1024 x 768 15 LCD rez?

    It can be done to Radeon iBooks. Does GF2MX support this? I'm pretty sure 4MX does, but only the 17" model has the 4MX. Either way, someone would still have to hack it to get it to work

    Yes, and no. The current firmware hack doesn't work, but I'm sure one is in the works. The 17" can span in 9 if you replace the extensions, like the original iBook hack. An OF hack is only a matter of time.
