When will your Core Duo 2 iMac be delivered?

Posted:
in Current Mac Hardware edited January 2014
I have just ordered my 24" iMac Can't wait, gonna be me first mac, and first decent computer (did have 2 good pc's before but had to send them back due to probs)

My iMac is estimated to be shipped on the 21st and arrive on 28th. Got a while to wait if this is true.

Through experience are these dates optomistic, accurate or should i prepare myself for a delivery later than 28th?

Will be great if everyone else can post their shipping and delivery dates, and progress.

I have heard that people in the US are being told they will get theirs delivered at start of next week (maybe even this friday). I am in UK so think that is why it is going to take a while.

Will get a 2GB nano for about £20 and free printer worth £60 though, through student and back-to-school offers.

    Hmmmmm

I just placed my order for my 24" less than 1 hour ago.

    Part Number: Z0DD

\tProduct Name: iMac, 24-inch, Intel Core 2 Duo

    \tOptions:

    \t 065-6792 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    \t 065-6780 3GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 1x2GB, 1x1GB

    \t 065-6801 NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT 256MB SDRAM

    \t 065-6447 500GB Serial ATA Drive

    \t 065-6439 SuperDrive 8X (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)

    \t 065-6200 None

\t 065-6433 Apple Keyboard & Mighty Mouse + Mac OS X (US English)

    \t 065-6432 Accessory kit

    Estimated Ship Date: September 18th

    Estimated Arrival Date: September 21st

I paid the $33 extra for 2-3 day express.

Dropping 4,000 big ones on a new computer was something I thought I would never do again (via the very old days of 90 Mhz PC's). Somehow, I did this and loved it. Getting a Mac Pro was tempting and actually delayed my purcahse for 24 hours but the "less clutter" aspect won out yet again. I will probably get Leopard Server for my iMac G5. I need to find out what cool things can happen with having a server.

In the Uk we have no choice with delivery options, it is the standard delivery only 7-10 business days!

Yeah, I sprung the extra $33 bucks for quick shipping. I figured it would be a nice birthday gift to myself.

Nice pickup. Sometimes it feels that way.

I have never had a computer from the apple store come on the date they day, it has always been early. Sometimes over a week early .

Also, for computers they don't update the status until the next morning. (My experience at least).

My birthday: September 26 It seems we both are going to be having great birthdays this year.

I'm hoping (doubt it will happen, especially with my luck) that it arrives before the 19th even though it is "due" on the 28th as i am going back to uni on the 19th. Would actually be cool if it came while loading up the van, as long as it comes before i leave lol.

I ordered from amazon to save some money. their expected ship date is in november! I think they're just covering their asses though. it'll prob be shipped in a week or two

upgraded graphics card so estimated ship date 22nd.

my last few orders from apple have shipped alot quicker than their estimates though.

(admitedly they were only headphones and an airport express)

Yeah, and how much did you save, $100 or so? Man, hopefully you're right and they get it out to you before November.

i'd be surprised to see many places other than apple stores have these in a hurry.

apple has a history of keeping their products for their own retail stores when demand is high.
