Supposed snapshot from a Yuera Beuna Center employee?

(I suspect it's fake, font, and lack of Apple styling on the poster)

What's your take?

I haven't known Apple to write in all lowercase before, but you never know. It looks pretty real, but I would doubt it is.

iPod with Front Row? I won't make any judgments yet.

Where did you find the picture Ireland?

Gee. Why is it blurry? That is the first red flag. I also have a problem with the white balance not matching the room and the text perspective not matching the curtain.

It is blurry because it was probably taken with a camera phone while walking to be undetected. Not saying that it is real, just giving a scenario.

    fake fake fake fake

Why the hell would the new iPod's front row interface have a DVD icon.... for the amazing DISC DRIVING IT DOESN'T HAVE?!

I am calling Fake. Especially since Apple would not want to use Mac OS X specific icons for a cross platform device.

And what kind of idiot people who don't want their info leaked early put up a banner on Sunday night for a Tuesday morning event?

Well, having worked events, it could be that they simply need all the time they can get to be ready. Or maybe the guys with the ladders are working on the sound system or lights on Monday, and only had time to put banners up today?

    Unlikely, but maybe.

    Fake.

The whole perspective of the image is off compared to the silhouette of the banner. Unless Apple is suddenly into skewed graphic design.

I think it's a bit odd that the top of the iMac part of the picture goes off the banner, and on the top left part, you can see an obviously edited black line. Also, it says that the creator is Adobe Photoshop CS for Macintosh, so I wouldn't look too much into it.

That's not what I said. But there are only limited numbers of ladders per building, and having worked events before, it helps to do stuff over two days.

That said, this is totally fake for any number of other reasons.

They don't even have banners for press events like this one.

Hey don't be pointing fingers at Ireland here, I just realized he's one of the few diggers I follow. On digg I've had him as a buddy for a while now and didn't even know he was a fellow AI rumormonger! (My digg profile.)

I saw this photo on digg earlier this morning but I don't think Ireland hosted or submitted it though.

    Also, I vote fake.

Fake. It's a bad Photoshop job. Grain doesn't match, and the iMac is sloppily cut off on the upper left.

Cool! I just returned the favor, you have been added as one of my friends on digg now.

Let me sit back and enjoy it while I can, cause it wont happen again

Actually while I am sitting back, why don't I watch forbes.com talk Apple.

I'm pretty sure the original image was on engadget now that I think about it but linked from digg.

(Thanks for the buddy hookup Ireland! You can follow my Mac/Nintendo-centric left-wing leaning diggs now. )
