When do you think the current crop of Powermacs (dual 867Mhz to dual 1.25gig) will have their first price reduction?

Isn't it about time in the Apple scheme of things?

I think when they introduce the 970, They'll keep the 1.25Ghz G4 and slice the price of that to about 1699, could be alittle more

Who knows if they'll lower prices at all? They might have various other rebates and stuff but they're not just going to lower the price.

I think rebate will be the thing Apple will do.

Like last summer $300 US rebate. That rebate didn't require monitor purchase.

Those prices only lower after a new refresh of towers are announced. That would be about February or March 2003. I expect a FREE Final Cut Pro 4 bundle to go with the next refresh similar to the FREE InDesign 2 bundle offered with the line on sale now. Or the FCP4 bundle might be offered with the current line at MacWorld Expo SF 2003 to keep it selling up to the next refresh.
