    Ouch !

Damnit..and I though the 17.5% in England we had was bad.

    I hate VAT.

I had to move to the UK just get away from the VAT and other taxes in Sweden.

Much better here but still bad compared to the US. Might have to move again

Thought that I would share my new 24" iMac as well! Love the machine. Notice how much bigger it is than my old 14" iBook.

On another note, the screen is crazy bright. The iBook brightness is turned all the way up and the iMac is turned all the way down. I am going to love working on this thing.

    I have unpacking pictures here:

I thought the iMac looked very nice in the store and in these pictures too. If it weren't for extenuating factors, I would consider the 24". It sure makes the 17" model look confined. One of my concerns is that I'd like to be able to get rid of my den TV, but I can't do that with no decent video input methods, so I would be limited to kludges as alternatives.

The EyeTV hybrid works great. You can also use a sling box. Lots of a good options.

If it's not DVI, HDMI or component, I'm not interested because your suggestions are only partial solutions.
