Contex Menu Keyboard Shortcut

Is there a hotkey that will bring up the context menu? When I am typing, for example, and I make a spelling error, I actually have to pull out my mouse to right-click the word to see what the spelling options are.

I'm sure there is a hotkey to bring this menu up, but I don't know what it is or where to find it out.

If you find out, let me know. That's one of the biggest pains in the ass. Can't imagine what they were thinking.

I can use controllermate to do that. On my usb PC keyboard, there is actually a button with an image for a contextual menu and controllermate lets me map it to the right-click. I actually keep it mapped to the application switcher though.

Apple should really build something like controllermate into the system.

They have a demo you can try. You basically just build up sequences. So you click your keyboard as the input and press a key you want to map, usually with one or more modifiers. Then go to the output and connect a mouse right-click event. As soon as you set up the blocks, it comes into effect.
