question about installing ram

Hi all,



i just installed new rams on my powerbook.. i put 2 512meg ones in it, but it says it only has 512m. it did not detect one i guess... is there something i need to do on the software side for it to pick it up?

    Nothing you need to do, are you sure you are using the correct RAM?

    Make sure the DIMM is fully seated.



    If it still doesn't recognize it, swap the DIMMs in their sockets to see if it is a bad DIMM or a bad socket.
