They are not listed on the Apple site. With the DDR Ram in the 17" I would assume it's 167MHz?

    Probably 133 for the 12" and 167 for the 17", since they're using PC2100 266MMz and PC2700 333 MHz RAM, respectively.

Same setup as the dual 867 and dual GHz PowerMacs?

But it just seems like they are avoiding this for some reason...

You're right... it is odd that they wouldn't have it mentioned on the specifications page.

An optimistic possibility: this is a new G4 chip. Maybe a .13 7457 (or whatever they call it). Maybe the busses are actually 266 and 333 but they don't want to admit it until the PowerMacs come with the same chip in a few weeks?

The 12" Powerbook uses 256MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM.

    The 17" Powerbook 512MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM.

    No mention of bus speed.

The Powermac page frequently mentions the 167 bus. The Powerbooks have to have this atleast or they couldn't run DDR.

The 12" can run at 133 with that RAM.

That's right. See the the real-life pics of the new PowerBooks, complete with System Profiler screenshots, on this <a href="http://suyama.co.jp/index.html"; target="_blank">Japanese site</a> for confirmation. Boy do I want that 12" PowerBook. I love my iBook, but the PowerBook is just sooo much prettier.

Yeah. I started a thread about it in the OS X forum.
