is there any way to get rid of the itunes mini store?

im really sick of the itunes mini store, it gets in the way more than helps me since i dont listen to any of the main stream shit it displays. so id much rather get rid of it, any idea how

    Yes. Go into the "View" menu item at the top of your screen and select "hide mini-store". You can also use the keyboard shortcut shift+command+m to show/hide the store.

    Or upgrade to iTunes 7.

    What difference does that make? Is it off by default with 7? The mini-store still exists in 7.

    Actually it is on by default in iTunes 7 so I don't know what he's talking about. Just follow everyone else's advice here.

    It sure isn't on by default in my copy of iTunes 7. I've never seen it since the first time I booted iTunes 6 (or whatever version it was) and clicked the button to make it go away.
