How the Apple-Goldman Sachs relationship became an unhappy marriage
I get the squeaky-wheel syndrome in this thread, but I’ve got to say, my experience with Apple Card has been the best of many decades of credit card experiences. I have turned to them a number of times for various issues, some mine, some vendors’… and they haven’t let me down yet. And messaging is arguably faster than waiting in a phone queue.
I dread the day the status quo inevitably changes. -
iPad updated with A16 chip, still lacks Apple Intelligence
paulmacintosh said:Apple is still also selling its first generation Apple Pencil as an optional accessory with this new 10th gen (11th gen) iPad. The first gen Apple Pencil pairs and charges via a lightning connector, but this iPad has USB C - so nobody will be able to pair it with this 2025 iPad! The second gen Apple Pencil with USB C, which is cheaper than the OG Apple Pencil, is the only viable pencil accessory. Sometimes, you must wonder what is going on in the minds of Apple’s product teams. 😆

Kuo: Demand for new MacBook Pro models tepid due to high prices, disappointing specs
jbdragon said:You know, throwing PRO in the name doesn't make it so!!!
Nor does buying something with "Pro" in its name make you a legit pro. It has mostly to do with your ability to deliver as an individual, of which your hardware figures in less than many people seem to think.
Real pros, in my experience, find a way to get the job done, with no whining (such as we've seen in abundance since the new laptop debuts).
