  • Epic sues Apple after Fortnite removed from App Store

I own a hotel and pay Booking.com 18% (plus 20% Value Added Tax) for the total value of any guests they send us. Which works out to about a quarter of the value of the stay, just for advertising!

Apple’s 30% for hosting, advertising and providing the tools to create the apps, to me, seems a jolly good deal!

  • Samsung inadvertently uses iPhone to tweet Galaxy Unpacked promo

Considering how much they examine and emulate the iPhone, I guess it’s best to stick with what you know!

  • Fitbit's Apple Watch competitor will offer third-party apps & 'app gallery' at launch - CE...

I've been using FitBit for about 3 years or so now, but in that time I have had to purchase about 4 FitBit Ones, the Aria scales and just this last December decided to upgrade to the FitBit Charge.  In the last 6 months I found that the almost-week-long battery has deteriorated to the point where I was charging it once every two days and physically, the point where the rubber strap meets the watch face had split away from the base, creating an 'open lip' that I would catch on almost everything.

I'd been attracted to the Apple Watch since launch, but was unable to justify the price to myself, but after tallying up the cost of my FitBit habit, and knowing the build quality that Apple seems to maintain, I decided to treat myself to the Nike AW2 in June and (so far) am as happy as Larry!

    FitBit... kiss my arse!

  • Apple sat at a crossroads of indecision that led to Project Titan's slow death

I think once the EV market collapses in the next year or so people will look back on this move by apple as the right thing to do

  • Intel attempts to convert Apple fans in 'social experiment'

I can't understand why Intel is pursuing this.  I can understand that apple's success may be affecting the sales of some of the higher cost PCs but shouldn't that be an issue for Dell or one of the pc big-boys to address rather than one of the component suppliers?

This is like a McDonalds Pickle farmer running anti Pizza Hut ads because they don't use their pickles.  Okay... maybe a stretch, but its still jolly odd!

  • Apple sales executive exits Apple for Department of Defense position

I guess if you're leaving the richest most profitable company in the world, you wanna go where the money is!

  • Apple TV won't get Amazon Prime Video until Apple agrees to 'acceptable business terms'

I get Amazon Video as part of my Prime membership, which I get half price as a student.  AV is hopelessly difficult to discover film or TV, and they discreetly hide inclusive paid content with the free so you could end up paying to watch something.  Turning off the paid content only lasts for that session (on my TV), so the next time you turn on the TV it reappears again.

Netflix has Amazon beat on this so I'm not missing the app for my apple TV and the sooner Apple buys Netflix the better!

... though I am looking forward to TopGear II on Amazon, but I assume they will promote that within the app, so I'll not have to go searching! :)

Let's be honest: some older people are dicks!

Add into that an air entitlement going into the interview with an 'I'm so qualified that you're lucky I even applied' attitude, I could see why he may not have been offered the role.
I don't understand the point of your comment. One can just as easily say:
Let's be honest: some [younger] people are dicks!

Add into that an air entitlement going into the interview with an 'I'm so qualified that you're lucky I even applied' attitude, I could see why he may not have been offered the role.
EVERY FUCKING GENERATION HAS PEOPLE THAT FEEL THEY ARE ENTITLED. We see this every day on this very forum from all across the world, with different ages, income brackets, and every other demographic when it comes to what they feel Apple (or another company) owes them for being a long-time and loyal customer.
Ok dear, calm down!  The story was about an older person not getting the job, so I framed my comments around that!
