18.1 dev beta 1 repeatedly crashes on my 1 TB 15 Pro Max even with all apps closed and a hard restart. It’s a soft kind of crash. After I’m able to get back to the desktop when I relaunch the app I was in it will resume where I left off in it. And a VOIP MagicJack phone call doesn’t get disconnected through the crash. Looking forward to the second beta to hopefully fix this bug.

Demand will outstrip supply for several years. It’s a high end computer not goggles. I’m going to wait for an M3 model at least, maybe longer. I’m an early adopter who lives alone, but for this product I don’t feel any compelling curiosity to buy one of these right away. Maybe it’s because I’ll be older than 77 when it starts shipping. I like my screens away from my face. I have a 65” QD-OLED SONY TV (A95K), attached to my M2 Pro Mac mini only about 6-8 feet from my eyes. That’s immersive enough for me.

Only running on Ethernet and NOT WiFi NOR Cell Data, and after putting in the cancel the alarm code, the alarm Test Tone and text still went off on my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 17.0.3.

Costco is selling Base M4 Mac mini for $500 ($100 off list) and Base M4 Pro Mac mini for $1270 ($130 off list) through Dec 2.

Sleep Apnea detection is part of watch OS 11 and works on Series 9, Ultra 2 as well as the new Series 10 models.

I gave up trying to chase their incremental changes when I bought the original 9.7” iPad Pro. A9X. 256GB.
