Apple's chip chief says he wants AI chip design, but he already has it
This isn’t a new concept. Designing the chip itself is relatively straightforward, but the real challenge is creating machines that can produce chips. These machines require ultra-pure water, ultra-pure elements, ultra-polished optics, and more to make the chips efficient and fast. This is where ASML and TSMC come in. Even they use machine learning to iterate through each step to ensure that all the transistors are connected correctly while leaving defects alone as long as they don’t negatively impact the entire chip. (I remember reading from ASML website) Unlike older designs, when they detect defects, they will “intelligently” design around it. This wasn’t possible back then. With this approach, chips can be produced with varying performance levels and still be usable.

Apple rumored to release iOS 26 at WWDC, instead of iOS 19
Yes, all software companies should release software based on the year, month, and day, just like MacOS 26.1.4.When the year 2100 arrives, it will be known as macOS 126.1.4.This approach is highly consistent, semantic, and clear. While programmers implement this internally, we must also demonstrate it externally to avoid confusion among consumers regarding the version of software being used. -

Genius Bar doesn't hire retired Apple engineer, fires up age discrimination debate
Wait... a guy who's responsible for a complex project - porting MacOSX to Intel - at Apple applied for a job as a customer representative at Genius Bar and Apple is sued for not hiring him because of his age?! I am not sure - there must be a reason why he was not hired and I doubt his age was the reason. How does he establish proof that it was because of his age? -
KGI: iPhone 7 won't sell as well as the iPhone 6s
I compared the camera quality between 7 and 6s (not Plus series) and have found that 6S is far much better with selfie. I mean way much better. iPhone 7 is actually a step backward in camera quality. I found image quality to be worse on 7. Consumer Reports said that they couldn't find improvements over 6S... but I can say that from my examination of both devices that 7 is significantly worse.
The home button on 7 feels weird. 6s feels more natural.
Definitely not recommending 7 to anyone... I'd just tell them to get 6s.
