Last remaining AirPort Wi-Fi accessories no longer on sale from Apple
wonkothesane said:Sad to see it go for good. Nothing I know compares to the Apple products in terms of ease of use and design. At least, from a layman’s perspective. Don’t want to think about the day my time capsule or other airport stuff dies... -

Apple's Tim Cook calls VR 'cool' and not a niche
This could be an area that Apple again waits and then brings mainstream. The largest hurdle right now seems to be cost and a clear direction of what we plan to do with VR. If Apple can develop a mainstream graphics chip technology that can handle the load so to speak but also come in at a good price point this could get the job done. I know it is a stretch but a thought none the less. -
Netflix boasts 37% share of Internet traffic in North America, compared with 3% for Apple's iTunes
Apple gets 30% of Netflix revenue without the need to have the infrastructure to support a true streaming service. I do question why Apple did not just make a Netflix clone. I still feel that Apple is getting too cocky for its own good. The need to always do things differently when differently may not always be better. They have a pretty good track record I will give them that. I assume they still want to do TV in a way they feel is right without compromises. To a certain extent that is admirable. -

BlackBerry CEO bashes Apple's data privacy policies
I do not agree with Apple's position regarding data either. Can someone please tell me when the government or law enforcement agencies have used data to wrong its citizens? The constitution is fucking outdated people and needs to evolve with the times. -
Apple axes Wi-Fi router division, apparently signaling the end of AirPort
As for the announcement I think it makes sense. I have all Airport extreme and express for my network. Apple is being out paced by some new innovators in the market. If you are not good at something, focus on what you are good at. Apple has done this here and I applaud it.
