  • Samsung reports weak profits for Q4 while shipping 12.5% more smartphones, casting doubt on Apple,

It starts to looks ridiculous the number of articles related to Apple vs. Wall Street. I know, is a period without rumors, so you must feed the blog, but everyday! I understand that people get increasingly anxious about the issue. Move on AI, there's not any rumors about the next iPads, Apple Watches or that new 4" iPhone? They are supposed to launch in April and no part leaks...
Everyday the hysteria continues.  Today will be Cirrus Logic proves Apple Is in demise. Where there's smoke there's fire, blah blah. This article is invaluable pointing out Apple is eating Samsungs lunch.  Suppliers misses are not an Apple issue, rather its Apple destroying another competitor.  The Katy Hubertys of the World don't make me a nickel.   DED has made me a small fortune and he keeps on giving.  '

  • Apple's iPhone shipments 'likely' to fall below 200M in 2016, insider says

Whether Ming Chi Kuo is a real person or not I guess does not matter.  His Name is used as a front whenever the powers that be want to change the conversation.  That is, "Somebody" from the Far East who supposedly has inside information.  His prediction powers when it comes to Apple results are at best 50-50.  I went back and looked at his predictions, most notable the current quarter that just closed.  He predicted 43 million phones this quarter due to his "inside" knowledge of the supply chain.  If you believe Ming Chi Kuo, then I suggest you sell Apple today.

  • Apple's Q3 beats expectations with $42.4B in revenue, 40.4M iPhone sales

I never buy more after a 6% bump, but this ices the idea Apple is Blackberry.  Services will be the size of a Fortune 100 this year.  They reduced the channel by 4 million phones.  All the news about nobody buying iPhones was BS.  This will go higher.

  • Bill Gates sides with FBI on Apple encryption fight, says scope is limited to one iPhone

Oh, by the way, Gates was on Bloomberg this morning offering a very smart, balanced view regarding the current situation.  He said earlier reports clearly were incorrect when characterizing his position.  This entire thread is irrelevant.

  • Wall Street expects $76.5B in revenue from Apple in record breaking holiday quarter

I have one request. I'm convinced the legendary Ming-Chi Kuo does not exist. He's a convenient creation by the Business Insider to spew FUD. The AppleInsider has no issues picking-up these articles and treating this mythical character as a real human being, repeating how often he is correct. So, his latest scare is that Apple will guide 43 million for the March quarter. Not even the biggest bear predicts this. If Apple guides anywhere North of 55 million, I vote words like "the best Apple analyst" should forever be stricken by the AppleInsider when this South Park character is mentioned.

You mean this real actual person, Ming-Chi Kuo?

    http://www.cultofmac.com/273923/ming-chi-kuo/

His record is fairly solid, check out the linked article above from cultofmac. He does better than most in my opinion. He clearly has some decent sources for information.

I can't think of a single person other than Mark Gurman who consistently make as many accurate or "close enough" predictions about Apple.

There is a reason he consistently gets press.

Gene Munster on the other hand, that guy is the polar opposite of the two mentioned above. Why any website would ever mention Gene is beyond me.

If I showed you a picture of Santa Claus, does that mean he's real too?    We'll see what Apple guides and then you can judge your hero.
