  • Spending time with HomePod mini and why we're already hooked

I ordered 2 as replacements for my Echo Dots. So glad to finally be rid of Alexa & go 100% Siri/HomeKit. For me, music was an afterthought.

  • 'HomePod mini' leak suggests spherical, compact design

For those saying they are throwing out their Echo devices to get these are you nuts. Alexa is miles ahead of Siri. Miles.
I guess our experiences differ. I have several smart plugs, Hue light bulbs, door locks, smart devices, etc in my home. Most are compatible with Alexa & Homekit. I am CONSTANTLY having issues with Alexa failing to recognize my devices. I reset them, completely removed them & re-added them, even changed out my Dots to newer models but the issues ALWAYS come back. If Alexa says “sorry I cannot find the device named ...” one more time I’ll loose it. This always results in me grabbing my iPhone or Apple Watch (before I broke it) and issuing the same command for it to worse flawlessly. Not sure how they stack up in other aspects but for me, being a way to voice control my smart home - Siri & Homekit are a MILLION times more reliable & less frustrating.

My Dots are all being replaced ASAP with the Mini.

*This is my personal experience & can’t speak for anyone else*

  • 2021 Apple TV 4K Review: Seeking a blockbuster, given a Band-Aid

Funny the review fails to mention the new remote is not usable for games. So unlike the “old” Siri remote, you have to drop another $60 on a controller if you want to play games. Yes, I know the Siri remote isn’t the best controller but at least it was an option (and fine for certain styles of games).

NBA 2K is a joke on ATV. The Switch runs 2K better, even in handheld mode. I’ve pretty much all but given up on playing games on my ATV. There is really no compelling reason to.
From the third sentence in the review:

"Aside from the revamped Siri Remote, which we will cover more extensively in a separate review dedicated to that product, "
You had a ENTIRE section in this article highlighting the remote…

  • New Apple Watch Series 6 has blood oxygen sensor & bright new colors

My Series 3 broke about 2 months ago and I’ve really missed having access to my Apple Watch daily. I upgraded to the Series 3 from Series 0 and it made me love my Ape Watch. This is perfect timing for me. I need a new watch & my birthday is in October. Going to have to splurge on myself for the Series 6 LTE.

  • New Apple Watch Series 7 with more durability, larger screen area revealed

I’m a Series 3 owner so I am looming forward to upgrading as this will be a big leap for me. From what I’ve seen, you can usually skip 2-3 generations of Watch before it starts to feel long in the tooth. This new display will definitely be the highlight compared to my 3.

  • iPhone SE 4 detailed in new anonymous leak

These rumors seem pretty out there for a SE. action button, OLED, etc?

I can see Apple updating with USB-C and maybe a single 48 mp camera. Face ID could finally come too. Hopefully if they move to the all screen design the use the iPhone mini as the basis and not the standard 14.

  • Report reconfirms 2017 OLED iPhone to be limited by panel supplier yields

Do you think that now that weed is legal, productivity will nosedive in California?
Is there any proof of that happening in Colorado or Oregon or Washington?

  • Bluetooth streaming problems introduced in Apple's iOS 9.2 remain, have wide ramifications

I love when people cry about not being able to use there old headphones with the "iPhone 7". Oh well. Buy new headphones or use an older model iPhone. Just like with any other product that introduces a new model and leaves old accessories behind. I guess I shouldn't have bought my PS4 because all my old controllers and accerories for my PS3, that I spent a ton of money on, wont work with it. Sell you headphones on eBay and get a new lightning connected or wireless pair (if you want the iPhone 7). I read the comments saying "there are barely any lightning headphones on the market. Apple doesn't even make any yet". Well of course not. The 3.5 jackless iPhone hasn't been released yet. Why would there be a ton on the market? We all know, if Apple does indeed make this change, we will see plenty of accessory makers come out with new headphones. They know where there bread is buttered.

This is yet ANOTHER REASON why Apple should GTFO of China

Yes this means sales will be down 25% but who cares. I don't, even as shareholder.

I can see the bigger picture. The less the company is reliant on China the better.

That Tim Cook put all his eggs in the China basket is a total failure and lack of vision.
And now that China sales are down 40% and all this crap is going on, Timmy ole boy has EGG ON HIS FACE.

Instead of trying to cater to US/Europe/Japan customers Timmy ole Boy focused 100% on China. Gold phones. Gold watches. Giant phones. No premium 4 inch phones. BAM. Now it blows up on  his face like a samdung phone.

China wants access to Apple iCloud serves in China.
China wants the source code of iOS.
FUC THEM. No way. GTFO of China.

Take the short term hit and see the stock go down to $85.  Buy up a crap load of stock. Repatriate the $200 billion in cash on a low tax rate. Then buy up HALF of the company shares in one swoop.

In a couple years the stock will be at $250 without China.  Then when China learns to treat Apple with respect, Apple can bring its products back to China.

Till them, go to hell China.
I'm not racist. My grandmother was 100% Chinese (RIP) and I loved here dearly.
For once, I'm on the Sog train...
