President-elect Trump says Apple CEO Tim Cook phoned him after victory
I could see us getting a man on Mars pretty soon. But manufacturing an entire iPhone in the USA? Impossible, mostly from an economic, not a logistical, stance.
The amount of money American workers would demand would make the iPhone so expensive that sales would tank. Less sales equals less profit, which equals less money to pay workers, who must then be laid off, which means less American workers have jobs, and we're back to square one. -

I'll bet you the media will have a field day on this innocuous detail.

Apple 'iPhone 7s' rumored to retain iPhone 7 design, debut without wireless charging

One often hears from Apple devotees that the evolution of the iPhone is one that has been going on since the original iPhone, that they're eventually going to arrive at a design nirvana, where nothing more should be done to what they claim is the Perfect Design. Then it's funny how the antithesis of that argument is used against competitors (Samsung) in patent trials in which Samsung claims their rounded corners and swipe-to-unlock features were organically arrived at as being the logical conclusion to obvious design elements.
Apple wants to have it both ways: We're keeping the same design because we've found it's the near-perfect design. BUT, if our competitors arrive at the same conclusion (which they can't because, well, they're not us!), then they're infringing. -

$200 billion in the bank. 115,000 employees.
And are late delivering wireless f-ing earphones.
In any other industry, that's a fail. But with Apple, it's "We're taking the time to make sure we're doing it right," and everyone nods in agreement.

Rumor: Second-gen Apple Watch to feature new, thinner 'One Glass Solution' touchscreen
I'm stuck because the new Suunto OLED touchscreen watches come out next month. As a cyclist, this watch really appeals to me, and the battery life on the Apple Watch sucks ass big time (and if I start Strava from the Watch, which launches heart rate measurement during the ride, then I get about eight turns of the cranks before the Watch dies). -
