iPhone buyers worldwide may see higher prices because of Trump's tariffs
iJeffrey said:I would rather pay the tariff on my iPhone as long as it’s made someplace else. This country knows how to build cars, not smartphones. -

iPhone 17 Slim too thin for SIM tray, may not have mmWave
dutchlord said:I really don’t understand why Apple keeps pusing for thinner devices. I prefer functionality (larger battery or sim tray) over thinner devices. -

Trump's 104% tariff against imports from China goes live
9secondkox2 said:It may be tough for a bit, but it’s necessary. We shouldn’t have allowed everyone to-especially China - to tariff us like they have without responding in kind.China has been stealing our IP, making our stuff, and forcing our companies to hand over their sensitive data and control to the ccp. We don’t do that maybe we should do that for every country that pulls that on ur companies. The fact that China has so much control over apples data is unbelievable and reaches beyond China to everyone who communicates with Chinese citizens. With China only getting more aggressive and other countries and the EU following suit, it’s time to nip this before it gets even worse. It’s already been too long.Maybe some of you aren’t willing to hold off on buying some things for a bit. But I can easily wait a bit in order to get a far better situation moving forward. It pretty much depends on us. What will we do. Will we buy anyway at exorbitant prices, or will we curb our habit long enough to make a difference.I’ve been waiting forever to upgrade. Just bought an m4 air to tide me over. I can wait a little longer.Ultimately I think cook knows exactly what this is about and likely supports it in spite of the short term hit. It’s really the only way to get things back to a fair place where it should be. -
iPhone 16e review roundup: an okay, if compromised, device without a market
charlesn said:Apple's website is specifically pitching the 16e to current owners of the IPhone 11, 12, 12 Mini and SE 2 and 3 phones. Overall, it's a nice upgrade if you're coming from one of those phones.
I disagree. I myself upgraded from a 12 Mini to the regular 16 in January. The 16e is a step backwards in camera features. It doesn’t have Ultra Wide lens and the 12 Mini did. I use the Ultra Wide often, why would I want to downgrade? -
iPhone 17 Air's battery life could be the shortest in years

Faster, Apple Intelligence, and more: All the rumors about the 2025 Apple TV 4K
Rogue01 said:If they are hoping for Apple Intelligence, which is terrible, they are going to be waiting a long time. All the tech sites claim Gurman says Apple won't fix Siri until late Spring 2026, and no one is holding their breath on that because Apple has had 14 years to fix Siri, and done nothing with it. Most people don't even use Siri on AppleTV. Siri can't search all the streaming platforms, so what's the point? Siri cannot even search your local media library. -
One of these three Apple executives will probably be Tim Cook's replacement
Wesley_Hilliard said:pulseimages said:Which executive gets Apple back to innovating instead of playing catchup?Cook has done wonders for the company, like it or not, and the call for the mythical "product focused CEO" is just silly. Any replacement to Cook will have pros and cons. There's always the chance we get someone we've never even heard of.
