Apple's new tvOS 14 is now available for Apple TV
Downloaded & installed 14, then went to a couple of 4K videos in YouTube (that I have confirmed play back in 4K using my TV’s YouTube app). However on Apple TV the same videos only play back at 1080 (the only option available in settings). The Apple TV YouTube app does not have an available update and the most recent version is dated April 2020. I assume I will have to wait for an app
update to allow me to switch to higher resolution content playback. Has anyone else had a similar or different experience? -
Judge so far 'not convinced' on Epic's antitrust stance in 'Fortnite' battle
Epic is willing to pay lawyers millions but not Apple - the company that created the platform they need to develop and sell their products. And worse, they are willing to hurt their own customers because they don’t want to pay Apple for their services and rent for their virtual storefront. I wish I could tell my mortgage company, town tax collector, store landlord that I don’t want to pay anymore.

Epic argues Apple has 'no rights to the fruits' of its labor in 'Fortnite' filing
Do as I say not as I do. Epic has its own in-game store that sells ‘digital useless garbage’ that is not even open to 3rd parties... which means they get 100% of all proceeds. Sweeney is a weasel ... Enslaved to his (deep pocketed) Chinese state-owned backers. Parents should open a class action suit to sue for refunding of the money spent on things like costumes for characters and other valueless crap that Epic deliberately preys on young kids to buy with their parent’s credit cards. -

Facebook cloud gaming launches in browsers and on Android - but not iOS
Aren’t titles like Asphalt and others listed in this article already available in the App Store? Unless there are exclusives who needs more ‘casual games’? FB is just using games as another way to collect data for their massive database. Apple needs AAA console titles, with the next gen of ‘super chips’ they may be able to pull it off... then they will have all bases covered. -

Apple unveils new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Magic Keyboard
No 14" display w/reduced bevel or WiFi6? ... that would have made it near perfect :-(
I will no longer buy any new phones/computers that do not support WiFi6 (heck they're already moving to WiFi 6E), I'm upgrading my router this year.
At least an option for 10th gen Intel have been added - add this processor across all Mac lines, please.
Still selling 256GB drives? Seriously, WTF - please stop making these things. I have a new iMac, already used 350GB with just base app installs. -
DirecTV Now launch rocky with early adopters having poor experience, getting 'Error 60'
I'm using Vue, it's not perfect, but I'm happy (talked about it in detail in a prior post). However, I want ATT to also succeed, competition really drives better technology (just as Google and Samsung keep Apple from becoming complacent). I'm keeping my eye on Sling too - I'm not loyal (yet) but sticking with Vue until another better option is introduced. -
Boot Camp, Windows driver issue may be damaging new MacBook Pro speakers
Winblows barely works on its own hardware why would you load that shxt on Apple hardware? I updated my PC laptop to Win10, the dedicated graphics card now overheats due to poorly written & weakly supported drivers and I had to manually edit the Registry to get it to scan correctly on an external monitor - every Win update that is installed requires me to re-edit registry. Garbage software. I ended up running what I thought was windows only trading software on my 5 year old iMac and it runs so smooth! Thanks Unix ... cough ... I mean MacOS!
