Report finds AirTag enables 'inexpensive, effective stalking'
It’s not much of a story, really.Anybody who wants one of these for nefarious reasons will have already bought a £30-40 GPS tracker with a SIM that relays live data without any safeguards, and is no bigger than an Airtag. You can also listen in, in one way comms, with a lot of them too.Freely available, with 100 hours battery life will cover most use cases for the wrong-uns to use. Sure the Airtags could be used this way, but they aren’t breaking any new ground here. -

Spotify listeners may finally get lossless audio -- but at a cost
tophatnosocks said:Oh, and I am testing many of the platforms, and just pushed five of my playlists to Amazon with Soundiiz, from Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, and AM.
I really don't think it's that niche a user case, but I don't work in the industry so can't give any citation to that. Spotify do though, and they much think there's enough people out there running high res music streamers who they think will pay.
Apple too must think there's enough people connecting a DAC to their phones or MACs to warranty the cost of delivery of their own high res lossless library. Given you can't listen to hi res lossless over a bluetooth connection, you have to wonder why Apple bothered making it available if there's no market for it?

Video: iPhone XS Max versus Galaxy S10+ photo quality comparison
tomjunior39 said:Both phones have excellent cameras. However, where do Samsung users go when their phones shit the bed? Where do they go when there’s an issue with the software, hardware, cracked screens etc..... They go to their carriers but then they pay an arm and a leg.
With us iPhone users, we go to the Apple Store and any issues that we have, they’re fixed. Not just fixed but fixed the right way and with the impeccable customer service that we have come to know and love with Apple.
Why some people feel the need to denigrate Samsung users to defend an Apple product is really odd. Strange characters, really. -
Apple's rumored Home Hub said to be under employee testing
I'm in the minority here.
For me, if it was like an iPad, with iPad functionality off the dock and locked behind FaceID, but one which snaps to guided access when docked, with Home/scenes on side one side of the screen and Music on the other (even more so if that Music app could be third party), and a proximity sensor so that when nobody is close it shows my photos or memories, then I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
