  • How to check if your Mac apps are Intel or Apple Silicon code

I'd like a utility that'll scan for old bits of code left behind by old apps which have long since been deleted, or have left processes which are chugging along the background which are not of any use and eating up resources.

I've used appcleaner to remove apps for a while but I don't want to do a full rebuild and reinstall everything due to settings, some dev tooling etc.

I've moved recently from Intel MBP to M4 MBP using Migration Assistant but I've brought along a bunch of obsolete cruft

    Anyone have any ideas?
I've used Clean My Mac by MacPaw for over 15 years, it works really well and I recommend it to a lot of people.
