GM ditching Apple CarPlay is about money, not safety
I really want to buy a Model S. I'd love to play around with the FSD stuff. Even though it's not really "Full Self Driving"... it is far and away the best autopilot/cruisecontrol available from ANY brand. But I want CarPlay. I use it all the time, I won't buy a car without it.So I spent more at Mercedes-Benz than I would have at Telsa... to get CarPlay. It's just that useful to (most?) people. In a different era of my life, I would have spent more at Ford or Toyota than I would have at GM in order to get CarPlay. Hell, I'd pay a premium for a beat-up used car that had CarPlay, vs a beat-up used car that didn't. People WANT the choice to use their own interface.I can't fathom how anyone at GM's marketing department thinks this is a good idea. -
Format MacPro 2013 - Will it make a big difference?
Just do it and run it... If you want to see a big improvement, replace your spinning start-up HDD with SSD (if you haven't already) !Once you start replacing CPU's, RAM, HDDs... et al... it's possible you'd get better performance for less money (task-dependent!) by just buying a M1-Mini -

No, they don't owe you anything.
The damage (99% of it?) is YOUR fault... yet you expect someone else to fix it for you for free??? Grow a pair! I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you voted for Obama
