Apple admits third-party App Stores in Europe are inevitable
jimh2 said:Those using the 3rd party app stores for their products will quickly find out 99.99% of iPhone users will never venture over there to hand out the credit card and personal information to another company. They may well find out the $99 developer kit is no longer $99 for them or their is a per install licensing fee. The really do not know how good they have it now.
Most enterprises have a good grasp on security, even BYOD: I suspect Apple with have new MDM capability that will block 3rd party app stores, however they manifest themselves

Google now tries getting EU to force open iMessage

It is sad that we have to rely on European wisdom to fight American greed these days.
I understand completely Apple's stance on using iMessage as a lock in.... But, personally, it's not the only Apple feature that keeps me locked in. Everyone I know who uses iMessage uses WhatsApp too. But I believe that Apple are missing a huge opportunity in being able to force WhatsApp into obscurity, and being able to offer a decent messaging service that's not part of the Google / Facebook ecosystem.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 may get a very slightly larger display
I've just plugged in my Garmin Fenix 7 after 9 days of usage and activity tracking (it still has 20% battery left)
Satellite connectivity is a bit moot if you have no battery left
I loved my Apple Series 1 & 3 watches, just as much as someone loves coccaine. The second I moved to the Garmin, I broke that habit and stopped interacting with my watch.
I just cannot get excited about anything which is so intrusive in your life, and affects your behaviour so negatively.
There's just ONE thing I miss: Express pay for public transport
Sorry to be a negative Nelly, but there are better alternatives out there folks
