    No, the Revolution Go will not destroy your records. Mine tracks at just over 3 grams, which is fine for the AT Cartridge and conical stylus it uses. It is the same cartridge and stylus used on many decent entry level turntables (and some not so decent ones as well). It is the venerable AT3600L cartridge, which is actually a good performer and pleasant to listen to. Owners of more expensive turntables actually choose it over more expensive cartridges because they like the sound. I wouldn't (and don't) use this as my main turntable, but for a portable option, it is quite nice.
