Kuo reiterates 120 mm tetraprism camera coming to iPhone 16 Pro
Ofer said:Any chance of the periscope lens technology being evolved within the next couple of years to enable an adjustment of the distance between the lens elements so that you have a true variable zoom lens in an iPhone?

M3 MacBook Air review: The ideal Mac laptop for Intel hold-outs
I don't regard 'flat and square' as 'modernisation'. It is a hark back to the awful past. Can you imagine how expensive the more ergonomic 'wedge' MBA was to develop and produce? Layer upon layer of custom lithium-ion flat cells to fit the shape.
Fan-less changes recording studio architecture. There suddenly is no need for a separate booth for the engineer. The MBA is silent.
The M1 MBA, the first Apple Silicon and the last 'wedge' is likely to be a priceless classic. -

2024: Apple's 40 year old Macintosh survives another year
I also have my 1984 Mac bought from Cambridge University when I lived there and they were retiring their original Macs.
Apple remain extraordinary in the most ordinary of things. There is more processing power in an Apple power supply plug than powered the first moon landing. Just a simple Apple Thunderbolt cable, oft ridiculed for being over-priced, has more computing power than home computers of the 1980's.
The old adage that 'you get what you pay for' has never been more true. I would add, 'if you are lucky and careful'. -
Decade-old Apple Car project may be completely dead
There is no future in private cars. I have said it dozens of times on this forum. Self-driving electric cars especially were never going to be commercially or technically viable in the short time-window they had. Apple was blind-sided by the US love of the automobile.
It is a shame Apple spent billions on a provably futile project.

Apple reportedly in discussions to buy sports car manufacturer McLaren
Apple has a total blind spot here - they are American. The future is reducing the need to travel.
Before then, public transport.
Cars are ancient history, a mistake.

Apple said to be 'aggressive' in ordering MacBook Pro units, strong sales expected through 2017
Apple may have placed advance orders but this story is at odds with the sudden drastic discounting on the new MBP eco-system. Initial sales look like a shock to Apple. Wrong prices, not enough 'Pro'. Apple needs its fingers burning from time-to-time to "stay young".
