  • watchOS 10 rumored to get big redesign, featuring widgets

Why are they cluttering your screen? Are you using just too many of them? More than you need? Try removing some of them. Maybe you will be less annoyed by them.

  • Apple Savings saw nearly $1 billion of deposits in first four days

...paid at the end of the month.
Right, but it is 4.15% APY, which means if you leave $100 in your account for a year, that $100 will earn $4.15 a year. The interest is compounded daily and paid out at the end of each month. It's complicated to explain because the balance is constantly increasing with Daily Cash, personal deposits, and monthly interest.
No it is not complicated. People just need to know how the interest works. And how numbers work lol.

So what is the news exactly? Very vague article!
It's not the news. These are rumours/anticipations. Which are vague in their nature.

  • The music industry wants Apple Music & Spotify to block AI music training

sdw2001 said: So an AI model analyzes songs on various services.  But before that occurs, the AI model has to be allowed access to that material.  That means a human has to allow the AI model to do that, presumably through a subscription.   So, there's really no legal or moral basis to say that AI isn't allowed to listen.
"AI" is just a marketing term that Silicon Valley has latched onto in an effort to obscure what these programs actually do. There's no learning or thinking or creating happening. It's just brute force data manipulation and it requires constant access to exact copies of the writing/art/music. Using exact copies of public domain content is fine. Using exact copies of content that the software company owns outright is fine. But using exact copies of copyrighted content without permission for anything other than "personal use" is a scam.
Like all other terms -,they were often invented to market e.g.. technology better.
And if there is no learning and only brute force, how did they created a program which wins at Go game (popular board game in Asia). To do brute force at Go is just not possible at the current technological level - too many options how to move. So the AI LEARNED! what good moves could be. But it is not convincing for you, isn’t it? 🤣

  • Nearly every Apple top exec is working on the AR headset

I feel sorry for the engineers that actually do the work with all these bosses.
Why do you feel sorry for people working on something they might be excited about?
And those bosses: Are they bad leaders? How so? Source?

  • Spotify abandons AirPlay 2 support [u]

If they still support Airplay 1st version, I am fine with it.
  • Kuo: Demand for new MacBook Pro models tepid due to high prices, disappointing specs

It is almost 2017. Those 16 GB are not satisfying at all.
I demand 512 GB RAM by the end of the year, because a serious professional troll I really need it.

Even if if they put only 128 GB RAM it won't be selling and Apple is doomed. Because bumping up the spec slightly is not innovation.

If if they could make their laptops thinner, able to drive two 5K monitors, with better and louder (about 58%) speakers, with improved color gamut of the display, and maybe integrate secureID finger scanner into the machine, then and only then it is a good improvement.

But it it is still not an innovation.
I want my laptop to be able to press fresh orange juices. This would be innovation.
Then could Apple (while pressing oranges) compete with Microsoft (which has 10 times lower profit margins than Apple).

And its its winter time. I wish Apple notebooks had a better temperature controls. I need a MacBook Pro getting so hot that it would warm my whole appartment in winter.
But I don't think Apple owns patents on getting mobile devices as hot so that they would explode.

Really, Apple lost once again. As it was losing all those years while getting the highest customer satisfaction and driving their profits up above all others.
    Just forget these Apple products.

P.S. I am off to drink orange juice.

  • Rumor: 10.5" iPad Pro with 'A10X' CPU to ship in first quarter of 2017

    But I need 11,3" model.
Steve Jobs would have seen it already long time ago.
If they won't produce 11,3" model, Apple is doomed.
  • Spotify says Apple's App Store changes omit 'price flexibility,' customer data

Ok, guys, you can call Spotify whatever you want.
I still prefer Spotify premium to Apple Music.
I tried Apple Music 2 times. When it appeared with the free subscription for several months, and then recently for one paid months.
Apple Music has very inconvenient design of playlists and how I can search for music, and how I want to discover music. Though the spotify app design is bad (I would need to reach my playlists easier and faster, e.g. also play playlist after I just open it), but their music discoverability and search are much more convenient than Apple Music.

As for the business model, you guys all that smart - suggest the business model for Music service which would be 'successful'. I bet you can just say that 'Spotify are dumbasses'.you can just talk and theoretize how cool you would be if you would be doing something in Music business.
