That's exactly the hardware I have and I did indeed obtain a performance boost after installing Tiger (clean install). Finder is a little quicker, Spotlight is a fast as you can type, and bootup is considerably faster. I have 768 meg of RAM.

Yep, it was in System Preferences. I can swear it wasn't there before! One thing, the F9 and F10 keys don't work unless I hit the "fn" key with it. F11 works fine. I just use the hot corners for the F 9 & 10 keys.
