This seems very serious for any pre-Lion FileVault user. Someone has FileVault on Snow Leopard or earlier? Upgrade it to Lion 10.7.3 and the contents are yours. It would seem that the security of pre-Lion FileVault is permanently compromised. Or d…

Steve Jobs decided that people aren't supposed to want this!

I wonder if the original Macintosh external floppy drive would work with this. Booting from the external with the right early version of Mac OS might make it possible to format Twiggy discs in the internal drive.

I don't believe for a second that labor changes have slowed production for longer than it takes to hire and train new shifts. They have no shortage of applicants. I do believe it's in the interests of anti-labor interests to make us believe impro…

My understanding is ISPs are immunized against liability for hosting illegal user content they don't know about and they are not expected or required to do preemptive screening. It's therefore in Apple's interest to NOT screen content without cause.…

The idea that Apple's business can't be successful without Steve Jobs is ridiculous. Every other successful company has something in common with Apple — they don't have Steve Jobs either.

"304,000 are related to engineering, manufacturing and transportation, while 210,000 alone are a result of the App Store and development of applications for the iOS platform." Not counting Apple retail employees?

"It doesn't matter who gets the most votes." Did Al Gore hear that?

"Someone's still living in 1970, aren't they?" Spare us, Comrade. We know your spy app contained hidden code to disable Colonel Austin's bionics so he'd be unable to launch into space in time to save Skylab from reentering the atmosphere.

Doesn't the Mac ALREADY have a Retina display? Meaning the user cannot distinguish individual pixels at a normal viewing distance? We're not talking about handheld touchscreen devices here. What Apple has needed to do for a while is make it possible…

If I were the record companies I'd be thinking it's not such a bad idea to freely distribute low-quality copies of songs, hoping they get sucked into iTunes Match and replaced with high-quality downloads that Apple pays a royalty for. Apparently App…
