mac on linux will let you do this, kind of. You do have to install linux though. Unless it gets ported to OSX.

my guess would be no. the apple store doesnt show any delays to any wireless products, besides the bluetooth adapter. Usually delays will also be posted at the apple store. like the crt imacs and ipod currently are.
