From threads I have read, HDMI doesn't always send the correct resolution to the mac when using an adaptor, so having an HDMI option in a mac would be handy. Obviously there are audio benefits too.

The store still shows v1.1 - there is always a chance that the store will be updated in tandem tomorrow to show v1.5 and the new MBPs. Either way - we still know that the MBP isn't that far away and aperture looks like a more complete app now

We need to bear in mind that a lot of the current Apple line-up is 1st gen products, and by their very nature, 1st gen products are always the worst. Hopefully MacBook Rev 2 etc will see a return to better quality.
