I'm getting pessimistic fast on the possibility of the 18th or 19th. None of the rumor sites have added additional info as the time draws near. Suggests to me they don't have their own sources and were just regurgitating one site's speculation.

Quote: Originally posted by gar beta tester, definitely I'm not in the beta business, but if I were, that's what would be called a joke. I was kidding and speculating all at once. I have no alPB15 with problems, I have no alPB15 period. I wa…

My alPB 15 has bugs I can't quite describe because it hasn't gotten here yet, but it's new tech and this is/was bound to happen. Serious point is: I'm wondering when RevB of this baby is to be expected or do any of you think Apple will be swapping …

You guys want company? You should be in the Future Hardware section - more frustration there than you can shake a stick at.

Quote: Originally posted by pc-to-mac Mobility would be nice, but if the power of the G5 is that much better, I could live with just a tower as being my first Mac. Any advice... please? 1.6 G5 Pbook - that is the answer. Seriously, that's s…

Quote: Originally posted by neutrino23 Last June I was dazzled with the possibility of an IBM 970 PB. Having had a little more time to think it over I would now prefer a G4 7457 based 15" Al PB. My reasoning is that compared to a desktop a PB…

This "rumored Motorola delay" thing is rumor-mill nonsense. Check Moto's site: they initially planned a Q4 release and then bumped it up to Q3. If it comes by the end of September there will have been no delay. Quote: Originally posted by Dr_H…

For those apps that deal with numbers >4 billion is there any more simplicity in writing for 32-bit than 64-bit? Apologies if that's a stupid question, but I really have no idea.

Kinda miss resedit for it's simplicity... kinda wondering why I'd ever need it again though Miss getting excited about new machines that I new would come out (Moto) basically (rola) when they were supposed to - PowerMac 8500 with a SCREAMING 120-13…

Been thinking about this as much as anybody. Steve's gotta be peeved at something else: Not only has Apple lost months of sales, but now they're expected to load Panther in these Pbooks - a whole lot of lost upgrade sales. Also, as has been mention…

... of course they did drop the price on the ti15 and 12 a month and a half ago and they can't have expected to keep burning off inventory till September... could they?... this is killin' me!

Quote: Originally posted by Delphiki I think Apple just really wants me to buy a PC notebook. As I said, the 7457's were bumped to Q3 by Motorola. It's not Apple's fault if the chips aren't available.
