It will be interesting to see just how soon the Pre hits the streets. Tim Cook alluded to the fact that Apple would not stand by and let someone rip off their patents. Wonder who they are talking about?

That Babe Ruth quote damn near killed me. Vintage Jobs!

I am trying out the iWork demo and these are just a few things that I really like so far. Instead of saying Export, now they use Save As. (Edit: still has Export....Save As to a Word Document is new) Added Open Recent button to the bottom of …

I use mine for everything. Business is the main purpose. Phone, lots of applications and tons of podcasts. Email, texting, calculator, etc. Don't use my laptop near as much as I used to. Ditched my iPod.

Choosing my carrier of choice would suit me just fine. For this and EVERY phone out there.

The calendars/contact syncing issue is a huge disappointment.

I had that configuration. It worked okay. I made the decision to upgrade the ram vs. buying new for now and am happy with that. I now have 1.12 GB. The ram did make a difference. I almost went crazy and updated to a faster hard drive which always ma…

Anyone that thinks Apple will do anything with Exchange that would provide a bad user experience is fooling themselves. I am betting once again, that when you actually see it in operation these pundits and other skeptics here will soil themselves ab…

iLIfe '06 works just fine on Leopard. I'm waiting to upgrade to a new machine before going to '08. Had to have Leopard now.

I always download and install the combo updaters. Especially now that you can't see the progress of the update with Leopard. It takes out some of the anxiety if you can see activity. If you aren't using webkit.app go get it. It really flies on t…

I bought my iPhone on January 19, the Saturday after Macworld. That is a little past the standard 14 day policy. I went in to the Apple Store in KC where I bought it, explained that I had waited forever for the 16 gig and when it didn't happen a…

He should have taken the job when Apple offered it to him....

Why wait? Windows has issued service packs before for XP. Apple issues multiple, regular and frequent updates. They are two different philosophies. I think most people prefer more frequent updates. Keeps things feeling fresh and always gives you…

One more thing you could try but since you did a clean install I don't know if it will help or not. Either way, the following is a great utility for OS X and now it is is compatible with Leopard. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11582/onyx …

The face wasn't mean spirited. If you read your last post as someone else, you might understand... Do you live by an Apple Store? If so, set up an appointment with a Genius and let them look at it. Then someone can actually see visually what you …

Well good luck then.

Mr. Me is right. I had never gone to AOL since Leopard. When I typed aol, I didn't get a .com after it. Hit return and it went to the site anyway, like always. Then the next time I typed aol, I did get the .com. Try it with something lik…

That is really odd. Safari has never required this to be typed in any version. Try going to your user Library>Preferences>safariplist Drag the plist to your desktop and quit then restart Safari. See what happens. You can always put the …

I added a 1 gig stick of RAM. Makes a pretty good difference. Overall, feels like a new machine. This ought to keep me for awhile until Apple puts out a new small form PowerBook.
