Mine is VERY stable. I use it on a day to day basis. However, that doesn't mean it doesn't crash. It's a little on the buggy side, yeah, but it can be used as a day-to-day browser. Of course, that's just me, since it'll crash for some people more…

I'm guessing if there's a cache folder for Safari and you set it so that you can't write files to it, it won't save cache. The same thing works for site icons, but I don't know if it will work for cache.

Using skins in Mozilla will allow more options, but it ends up bloating it and making it not seem like an OS X application, since it draws its own elements. Personally, the only thing that should use its own interface, IMO, is a game. Camino does…

Well what if you had a lot of shortcuts and the side runs out? (this is not my case, just asking.) Would the side pane scroll?

Quote: Originally posted by johnq Respectfully, I know this. But, if you are running Panther, and when you turn off the Metal in Safari, Safari's tab rows become the new Panther-style tabs, which are really just button bars. But these button …

I doubt Apple would throw out such a screenshot until they fixed it, so it's probably fake. However, that is VERY interesting. I love Panther's tabs, and if something like that could be made, I'd use it (probably).

Hmm..interesting. If that is what it will become, they need to move the controls around a little to fit with Aqua. Other than that, it's pretty cool! (not like I have a problem with brushed metal or anything).

I got a tip for everyone: Don't use it while burning a CD. I think that's the reason one I was burning today stopped twice. I had to erase the CD twice and re-burn it.

I think it's actually helping my 500mhz iMac w/ 128 MB of RAM. I have this set of menu extras called "MenuMeters" installed, and I'm paying close attention to the RAM usage. TurboMem is seeming to actually allocate memory. It still is using some VM …

It sounds like it's useful. Might as well give it a shot.

Maybe they should decrease the height of the label. It seems a little tight in the third column, when there's three consecutive items with labels applied. Other than that, that's pretty cool!

You got a point there

I prefer the Panther one more, only because it's newer. It's not that bad, and I could live with it.

If I read that post correctly, currently, no it doesn't. Audio and video chats only work iChat AV-iChat AV. They should at least get the Audio chats to work with any user that has Talk enabled. And they should get it to eat less CPU...My computer is…
