  • My iMac 450 DV+ is maxed out with a full 1 gig of RAM. It allows OS X to run like a wild animal. It was cheap. I bought my RAM from Other World Computing and only spent about $100.00. Why not spend the cash and enjoy.
  • F.Y.I......Chimera, now called Navigtor version 0.2.0 has just been released. With, are you ready, QUARTZ rendering!!!! And it is still as fast as ever. You can find it on their download page or find it on a site that is mirroring it....
  • Myself I prefer tabbed browsing in Chimera over Mozilla. It runs a bit quicker and it looks more complete with the full tab across the page. Instead of just floating there above the page. Of course the full aqua color and style of Chimera is just…
  • Also just noticed that when you customize the toolbar your preferences (or customization if you will ) are now saved and are ready for you next time you launch. Also printing works from the toolbar. I am not sure if this worked before as I did not…
  • Just noticed that on v. 0.1.3 that links that require a new window to pop up work now!! This is very helpful and is going to go a long way to making Chimera the OS X browser of choice! Also the scroll bar is still acting up a bit and sometimes wil…
  • ctt1wbw.... I wish I could figure out why you cannot type into the fields, it is quite perplexing. I have been doing it for a while and am feeling guilty every time that I post with it and you cannot. I hope that you will one day download a versi…
  • ctt 1wbw.... Not sure but click and hold down on the mouse on the message field for a few seconds. Then start typing, a few glitches have shown themselves, the entry cursor is not responsive, you don't see it move if you arrow back into to text…
  • Hey, it does work to type in text now. Whoopeeee! If the releases continue on a rate that they have been, ( how feasible this is I don't know ) we most of us will probably be using Chimera full time by the end of the year. Or those of us who don't…
  • I know it's a moot point as the browser is not a full time use application. As of now Chimers only uses a generic application icon and I was wondering, do you retain the generic or do you use a custom icon? I use the one you can see on my desktop …
  • Sorry, I went back and read up and now will eat my words (or edit my post as licking the screen doen't taste so good).
  • This is great! Hyatt, thanks for coming over and clearing some stuff up for us! I hope we can keep this forum up and running so that we can get up to date info on the project and ideas that hopefully will make Hyatt and his team's job easier. …
  • Link has been sent and I hope they visit to maybe answer questions or to reap some great ideas we could come up with.
  • crawlingparanoia Just when I was starting to think you were Bill Gates in disguise, you turn around and pull a very cool "I see how you might have taken it wrong" viewpoint that I really appreciate and respect. I thank you very much for seeing h…
  • I said nothing bad about your mother, I just didn't like the way you contribute your thoughts on what I thought I made clear was a very new and incomplete browser. Your comments ( a term I use very loosely, they are better termed as b*tchings ) cou…
  • "If it is being developed as a "true Cocoa application" as you say, then how come the fonts look like crap and their is no scrool wheel support? And how come we still get the ugly Windows-style and buttons and such? No Aqua?" ----------------------…
  • I have iMac DV+ Sage 450 Mhz 20 HD 1 Gig Ram Running 10.1.2 Runs quick but always room for improvement. Went to the Apple store and played with a 800 Mhz G4. Wow was that a difference that was!!
  • Myself I use Mozilla Mach-O most of the time. It is by far the fastest of the browsers out there and much more stable than the regular version of Mozilla (Haven't had it crash in 2 months of continous use.) The biggest drawback is that the downlo…
  • Just you. But I do have to say as soon as this is tweaked out to work with all the actions I make on my Mac. Unsanity gets my money. Untill then no joy. Keep it up Unsanity I look forward to purchasing this program.
  • I like that. Prehaps someone at Unsanity could release a Haxie.
  • I use a Palm Vx and am using the new Palm Desktop for OSX. It works very well (and it's only a beta program). I don't know about an Windoze based PDA but i have used the Palm for many years, my company has also taken to issuing them out to our re…
