I would think that this is the logical evolution of the iPod, but I wouldn't expect it for at least another six months or so since we just had a refresh.. maybe MWSF... picture this.. cell phone technology has been miniaturized with each and ev…

actually, if Apple were to ever introduce a phone/pda device, I think that Europe would be the best place for it.. As I'm sure it would be GSM only and the US still isn't up to speed with the rest of the world in cellular..

read somewhere in the specs that option-eject will eject the second drive door with normal eject opening the first...

might this be what we're looking for?? Sure, it runs hot, but shrink it from .22 microns to .13 or so and I'm sure things will cool off.. and it's got only 19 mil transistors, compared to 120 mil or so for the power4... from IBM, of course...…

in terms of keeping is top secret, this has been done before.. not much came out of Transmeta before they made their Crusoe announcements.... I actually find this to be extremely possible, and a logical expansion of Apple's current business plan…

somethings coming soon... with the imac hovering near the ghz mark, the power in powermac must get a substantial increase, and real soon.. I think we'll be pleasantly surprised by the power of the coming machines, even if they do require a price I…

the t68i is a nice phone, but I'd wait for the p800 if you could.. a bit pricier, but with the Symbion OS, gonna kick ass... the phone/pda would be sold unlocked so you could use it with any gsm provider.. I bought my t39 from England and am a…

personally, I think that Jaguar is ready to roll and will be passed out at the expo... it's too quiet for something big NOT to happen... they're at the world's biggest stage, NY, with TWO Apple stores opening up this week in major markets (Soho …

if the only reasoning why TS and CNET are "confirming" that there will be no updates due to the Aug 12 expiry, that is reaching pretty far... notice how the promotion states specifically WHICH models are eligible for the rebates and for WHICH amoun…

snoop around on Mot's site enough and you're bound to find something interested... Make of this what you will...

to all you power hungry guys out there.. if you really need to know any and all future hardware that Apple is releasing before actual announcement dates, there really is a simple solution... become best buddies with Seal who was in both the iP…

for you techheads out there... why is it exactly that the 8540 can't be the infamous G5 that we're drooling over?? after seeing some info on mot's site, seems to me that it could be... specifically check out...

Assuming the G5 is fabbed and ready to go, it would be wise for Apple to expand their matrix like they held onto the crt imacs along with the lcd's... Keep the speedbumped quicksilvers starting around 1200 and bring the g5 along starting at 2000 or…

lets just recap some of Apple's latest hardware offerrings compared to older ones... ibook (white) blew away the original with design and features powerbook ti blew away the original g3 in power and design imac g4 blows away the g3 imac wit…

later today is the earnings report.. I'm sure some analyst will question the lack of new powermacs out there... especially now that the imac is right there in terms of mhz... maybe Apple will announce a "special event" date or something.. I think…

for all your chip gurus out there.. is it possible to strip altivec out of the g4/future g5 and have it on its own asic (raycer guys job?), therefore allowing Apple to use strictly the embedded chips and saving Mot $$$ and time designing new chip…

whether or not the g5 is around the corner, I am very intrigued about Apple's next design for their "towers"... I'm predicting front to back depth of just enough for full size pci cards, probably 2/3rds the depth of current towers... maybe round?…

don't bet on the g5 making the next powermac rev... dual proc g4's across the board starting at 900+ mhz all with dvd-r, updated boards and new enclosure sounds more like it...
