I think games will have problems on the Mac regardless of the the speed of the computer. Why? 1. Game is not originally coded on the Mac. 2. Drivers are probably not as mature on the Mac. 3. Open GL performance is still not as up to snuff …

Yeah, there is a plus side to working on a Wintel machine at work. You really get to appreciate just how superior the Mac is when you get home. [ 01-11-2002: Message edited by: Cobra ]

Well, the new iMac has the ports on the back and its a machine that is suppose to be "user friendly". Form over function I guess.

Really, most people do not need 1+ GHZ G4's. Just the people at AI.

I say there will be new 17" and 19" widescreen cinema displays to go with the new towers. Of course, we will see the existing 22" and 23" displays as well. I do not see Apple coming out with a separate 15" display anymore.

[quote]Guys, why is "Future Hardware" full of such crap these days!!?? Like the crap you just posted? I figure because its the most frequented area.

This was pretty much a software show. Software for Apple is just as important, believe it or not. Hardware sells itself. A separate event is a good idea. [ 07-18-2002: Message edited by: Cobra ]
