  • Let me see if I have this correct: A rumor website says that a rumored chip, with a rumored name, will be delayed in place of another rumored chip also with a rumored name. Is it any wonder I like reading this board so much.
  • Why not just resell IBM hardware with a version of OS X on it? That would be a great way to have a high end option at the same time they could still make their own G5 Xserves. I think it would be a great selling point to say that they are using IB…
  • One of the things I think is interesting about this whole thing is the lack of information from IBM. It seems that Apple must have some words in their contract so that IBM keep quiet about any chips designed for them. It was the same with Motorola…

  • I have a new iMac too and really love it. I think the ability to move the screen around so easily is awesome. Other members of my family can sit down and move it around any way they want easily (including the 2.5 year old). My big problem with i…

  • I certainly would buy a G5 cube if the price were lower. It would make a great 20th anniversary model. (That's 20 years of Macs not Apple) Hopefully the 0.09 micron G5s will be ready by January which would be perfect timing.

  • Shameless bump of this thread. I thought my last post would get at least one comment.
  • I am surprised we didn't see this rumor on MOSR first. It sounds like the rumors from that site a few years back. In other words, I don't believe it.
  • Maybe this isn't the place to put this but, I didn't want to start another thread. Just read this over at Arstechnica. Hannibal interviewed IBM on the 970. The one thing that I thought was interesting was that he said that the chip can be clock…
