When did you order? Not yet shipped Ordering on a Friday is a bad idea, unless you enjoy two extra days of waiting. What can I say, I'm a masochist.

I really don't see Santa Rosa-based MacBook Pros being released until at least mid-2007, as Santa Rosa won't be released until April 2007(1), probably with the same speeds. Do computer A-list manufacturers overclock chips? However, according to a…

Yeah; just ordered the 160/2.33ghz 15! w00t! see the macnn forums for status (ordered friday, expected around friday next or later).

I've had the same thing happen—yes, to Dearborn also; it's just a database glitch I think-- it's some old recycled number or something weird. Don't worry, you'll get it.

I don't know, but six or seven years ago, they made a similar application compiling for both 680x0 and PowerPC processors. I don't know that this is necessarily more OS-based, or what, or if I'm simply talking out my um...

I expect not to spend my equipment reserve funds before the damn thing comes out. Just give me a fast proc. (and no, my 1.67GHz G4 does not count) and a DL drive in the 15", and I'm done.

kerryb, agreed; emig647, ditto. Though, I'd way-still-dude prefer Adobe's interface over _any_ of the multitudinous incarnations of Macromedia interfaces. Yeah. It'll be good.

Wow... craigslist over eBay. Huh. I'm OK with that devalue; it's the last of the PPC line, alas, so the depreciation from say, the 1.5 wasn't as harsh to the 1.67, but now, the MBPs have introduced a whole new ballgame. Oh well. It's basically pa…

Totally Mighty Mouse style, if at all. I would prefer it that way. But, lots of 3D apps, and more importantly in Call of Duty which lets you 'cook' nades :P, can sense two-clicking (i.e., left+right click) The Mighty Mouse is inherently designed …

Having used many (MacMice, Kensington, Apple), I can't honestly recommend any of these I have experience with for your purposes. The MacAlly mini BT mouse looks to be your best bet. I can go into more detail later. Have you updated your BT fir…

Unless you want to do WPA or Radius authentication relay, the Airport Express is plenty for most users, allowing wireless connections to both a modem connection and broadband, and stream audio from iTunes to speakers or optical audio input. But the …

I found this: http://www.mac-pro.com/s.nl/sc.2/cat...t.A/id.2444/.f This may not be the required part(s). You could ask your friendly Apple Authorized Service center to order it as a favor. I doubt it's very cost-effective though. I bet you'…

No, no, I'm totally aware that there are built-in cameras out there, but I wonder about the quality. I mean, digital photographic optics require a certain amount of light to reach a decent-sized CCD for resolution and depth-of-field. The more light,…

RE: iSight in the lid of a PowerBook. Won't work nicely. You need a lens large enough to capture enough light to give you the proper focal length to get you a decent depth of field. I don't have any handy calculators handy, but there are some…

Wow. Mine is like that, but definitely not as noticeable. I really have to get about 6?8 inches close to see it; I'm using an iCurve, so I'm looking from about 1ft.+ away. Some designer I am. \

Looks that way. Internal Speakers The computer has two internal speakers, one on either side of the keyboard. The computer turns off the audio signals to the speakers when an external device is actively connected to the optical digital audio /h…

Dunno about that. Had the wake-Airport/not-working/freezing-menu-bar/beach-ball thing with 512MB stock RAM with the 1.67DL 15". Reinstalled OS/some apps. worked.

My 15" is flawless. I love it. It's also on an iCurve, and that works well, as well. All this real estate!!!
