12" powerbook, I get 20 minutes, at most.... stupid batteries die after 10 months. Had to get a replacement.... (you may now start the "not with me" testimonials. but in anycase it's me, not you; big difference there)

hmm... I just remembered... DOH! My copy of Tiger is on DVD and the slot loading imac is only cd-rom! Can I use an external dvd reader (usb) on it?

I don't have a virus program on my mac mainly because Virex (virus scanner provided by my university) makes my laptop get HOT running as a background process. The program is also one of the worst virus scanning programs I have ever seen.

yes, spyware is a huge issue. Working as a tech support person we spend almost 80% of our time removing spyware and malware from staff computers... bleh

I don't like the Google search bar in my safari. I usually remove it, but they stitched it completely onto the address bar, you can't remove one without removing the other with it.

but if your going to pop out the battery and not use it, make sure it is at 50% when you do it. From what I read it seems that it is better to store batteries at half charge than it is to store at full charge.
