Safari 1.3 that came with OS X 10.3.9 is a lot faster. The only thing I wish Safari had is a button for HOME. It would be so much easier to use rather than having to go to history and click home.

As far as I know, using aftermarket memory would not affect your warranty as memory is considered a user upgrade. I would stick with a quality name brand, though. I would consider Crucial memory. It has a good quality to price ratio.

That's why you pay more to have the Power Mac G5...you can upgrade it. The iMac cannot be upgraded beyond the HD, Ram and optical drive.

Seeing the problem is having with the G5's being shoehorned into the iMac, I don't think the G5 is an option for the PB at this point in time. I;m betting Apple will use a faster G4 or even a dual core G4.

Get Apple Care now before you forget it. You have up to a year after you purchase the machine to get the Apple Care. Get it - it's worth it.

IMO, you would do well with just a stock model of the iMac. You can add your RAM and the APX card at anytime. This would also allow you to get your iMac a lot faster as it would probably be in stock at any Apple Store or other reseller.
