I completely argee that there will be hacks for the content, but if you are going to buy an LCD moniter now, why not just get the protection scheme?

Apple's LCD prices are flat out absurd. I personally think that anyone that pays all that extra money for less features on a purely "omg it's pretty!!" idea is just dumb. Dell uses the same panels, and I'm willing to bet the same manufacturer as…

It is EFI based according to the Dev docs... didn't realize that before... kinda surpised that Yohan wasn't 64bit tho... wasn't really following the development but it's kinda dissapointing.

Microsoft has a special version of Windows for the new MacBooks, it's called Windows XP. It should install and run like any other system that is x86 based. Chances are if I bought one, I'd wipe the hard drive and just use Windows XP until more apps …

Some of you guys are absurd. Complaining about lack of a Modem... more then 50% of the USA has broadband now... any civilized place (no the hillbillies in indiana do not count as civilized) will have some type of Wireless connection. If you are a po…

So what your saying is, that Apple should try to remain a small computer company with low market share, verses trying to expand and become a more successful company. Maybe I should sell my stock now if they aren't going to go after the market. This …

Many of you are wrong when talking terms of support from Apple if they were to license OSX for x86. If you notice Microsoft offers no free supoort to anyone except in Windows Activation Issues. All of the Windows support is done by the OEM's. Also g…

I still like the Microsoft Mouses, far more ergonomic.

I dont' expect a video iPod. My comment was more directed to just a iMovie store in general. I agree that a video iPod is a waste, atleast at this time, mostly due to screen size and battery life. The funny thing is, that my new computer I built…

I'd be interested to see what Apple would feel is an acceptable bitrate for the videos. I presume they would use H.264, but the question remains is would the videos be viewable in good quality on say a TV or a nice High Def Moniter.

You have to start somewhere. It's easier to convince a company that spends a lot of money on a music video, and receives no direct revenue from it, to sell it online. While yes, some companies do make a small amount of revenue from their DVD's with …

I disagree with the lack of the iTunes Music Store responses. Japan will embrace any cool new technology. You can argue that the music store is a huge part of getting people in some countries to use Apple, however Japan is the exception to this rule…

Yea well.... everyone was thinking it.

Very nice quarterly report. I will tend to agree with the points brought up about Japan. I honestly think Apple won't be successful in Japan until they do a sub-notebook, or some other "super geeky high-end" product. Japan loves small things... wond…

Microsoft couldn't drop office development with out the risk of having more antitrust lawsuits filed. Hardware margins are shit in every oem but Apple for the most part, becuase Apple's prices are higher. Apple made I beleive a billion dollars on so…

You guys can sit around here and look at apple like a religion. I will look at Apple like a business. Licensing is key. Licensing = a win for Apple. Licensing OSX to other OEM's would open up a huge platform for the Mac.

The 1 gig shuffle are actually a really good deal when you account for the cost of 1 gig thumb drives, then also have an mp3 player. The prices were better then competitors.

The 64 bit version of Yohan is due out around the same time as Longhorn, there has been rumors that Intel might not reach that date, and Longhorn may have to be pushed back, since Longhorn is a 64bit OS.

AMD's chips have been getting a steady speed increase. The next chip in the FX series is expected to be a 2.8ghz. I'm not sure what dual core chips your looking at the the Athlon 64 X2's are running on par with the single core chips...

I think it was more of the fact, that he could do it, that he did it. It's quite apparent that he could of just used a laptop.. but thats not what case modding, and computer modding is about.
