Reading through this thread reminds me exactly of the times before the PPC and the Intel transitions. But this hits me with a very interesting SPECULATION. Follow the logic... by the time this comes about, I'd bet ALL apps will have to come from …

Somehow I don't see USB3 ports in future Mac hardware... despite the fact there will be many more USB3 devices than TB devices. So maybe think about adding the usual 40 bucks to whatever Mac you want to get an adapter to go TB to USB3...

Somehow I get the feeling that before too long, every apple device will have only one connector, a TB one. Pure business move, all customers would have to spring for "changers" to plug in FW, USB, etc. devices. Very clever, expense of crating the pr…

And why is the tablet version $5/month MORE?

Pretty sure it does NOT involve batteries... the tech there is actually moving a bit after stagnating for many years. My "guess" would be in displays and SSDs. AND I would not be surprised if part of that also involves memory. AND I also would NO…

While some may scoff, my issue is Cupertino's insistence on using make-up mirror faced displays. Sure they look impressive, all contrasty and carefully placed in the stores to minimize reflections... but even there, I look at the screen and see myse…

My understanding is they want memory in groups of 3 to work "best" with the controllers... so why only 8 slots? You can toss the OM RAM (3 1G sticks) and go with 3 2G sticks for a max of 6G. And THAT'S IT????
