I'd buy six of them now. Illuminated keys, yes please, with a zero illumination setting. Overnight plugin, no problem - or twice a week, whatever it needs. Direct attachment option via USB would be good. Ship them now!

9secondkox2 said: All Apple needed to do was offer a MacBook Pro with 32 GB of RAM. THATS IT. And theyd fly fly off the preorder shelves. But instead we we get a stupid choice forced upon us with no option to choose one over the other. …

I struggle to see how this is conceptually or functionally different from Tile - and I can't believe the Tile promoters didn't seek a patent. I said months ago on other fora that with billions burning a hole in Apple's pocket, Tile would be a perfec…

Hope it catches on there - using it daily here in NZ - Watch and an old 5s, works without the phone once loaded, happy.

Yep, cutting in noisy environments, watching stuff on a plane - always. However, would I be prepared to change? To a pair of AirPods? Doubt it. BOSE noise cancelling phones? About time I got some. Beats equivalents? Only if they're as good, which on…

Yes! Kia ora, ANZ. Can't wait.

I have a clutch of 4,1 Mac Pros, some upgraded to 5,1 standard. Also a bunch of 1,1s, a dead 2,1 (power supply/logic board) and a couple of 3,1s. All do sufficiently well, especially with Cubix outboard GPUs, to have never made the 2013 Mac Pro a co…

This will be an interesting patent to watch unfold - in the professional/film space, Dolby already uses a very similar thing with their reference PRM-4220 grading monitors - a lit, monochrome back layer, LED in their case, shining selectively throu…

Apple Pay in New Zealand would be good. Come on ANZ, you've got the A working, now for the N and the Z.

I mean NZ is two thirds of ANZ, and half their profit. But only the A gets Apple Pay? Silly. My Watch is weeping.

Ah, the Mac Classic - I never owned a Mac SE but did fall for the Mac Plus-new-box ploy - a Classic was my first Mac, sporting a 16-bit Motorola 68000. An Excel spreadsheet could take minutes to recalculate - autocalc was an option to be turned off.…

Marvin said: The transition was done badly but there needed to be more than just a minor FCP 8 refresh. I think people are willing to overlook a lot of problems when it comes to tools and static workflows they've relied on for a while. FC…

They could also do a dozen other things though with other products. If it's not what they want to do then people just have to accept that and use the right tools for whatever they need done. It doesn't make sense for Apple to provide the best to…

And at the end, someone will output an AAF of every single piece of audio synched up to pictures and traced back to multitrack polyphonic sources by the assistant editor(s), with generous handles ready for import into ProTools. Sure there may be ind…

I know that even hardcore Final Cut Pro advocate director David Fincher gave up and changed to Adobe Premiere as of "Gone Girl". One reason was that Premiere could edit 6K RED camera footage. @ SpamSandwich I agree with your sentiment and al…

Yep, @gadetcanav2, what was @rfmac thinking? FCP X is AWESOME! In four short years Apple has taken FCP from an NLE Hollywood trusted in its post workflows, to a YouTube/Vimeo editing tool, to its new razor-sharp focus on what really matters in media…

I remember I once had a Nokia 121 that had a High Cap Battery with a tumour on the back... And I think the OKI900 had a similar lump... Design fail. Does this one work exceptionally well, like ugly well? Other people make quite attractive battery/mus…

@sagan_student I stand corrected then - you've tried it, I haven't so I look forward to being pleasantly surprised. Might have to get one then!

I buy most Apple products - very happy with my Watch and its new charge stand - but I'm not sure I would personally choose an iPad Pro over a MacBook. The Pencil is the killer feature here - high resolution screen drawing will work very well for som…

Yep, an Apple Store in our corner of Apple Australia's domain would be a fine thing. Like most American's, Apple seems to think NZ is a small inconsequential group of islands south of Tasmania, to be run from Sydney. On ya.
