I dont need more features... just a completely brushed aluminum enclosure. They should sell the normal one for like $300/400/500 and the brushed aluminum one for like $35 to $50 more than those.

Quote: In regards to the price points for the DS and the PSP, the $150 for the DS is the initial price Nintendo intends to begin selling them at. They started selling them at that price about 2 weeks ago. I got one. Its awsome. I highly…

Quote: They also understand what people want, could and should do with their hands... something that may not be fundamentally understood with say the $200-300 PSP. Retail launch price for psp is $199 for just the psp unit, no memory stick.

Quote: My point is games are important but spending $1300+ to get them is foolish. I completely disagree with that statement. There is not a single person that I have ever heard of that has spent $1300+ on just games. With a $1300 computer…

Quote: I'm sure there are rendering apps that do/will take advantage of the video card GPU for 3D...but remember, this is afterall a 1.8Ghz G5 and it does have pretty kickass floating point (specfp) numbers. They're not going to just have all rende…

.... this is true in the PC world, but IDK about the Apple side of things.. but the graphics card has nothing to do with the rendering of video, 3d scenes etc... I thought Core Video was going to be the app that would integrate the graphics card …

I like allofmp3.com If apple offered ITMS songs at bitrates other than 128kb i would consider buying music there, but I go through allofmp3.com so I can get my music @ 320kbps.

Quote: Yeah, you'll be set for a while with a 6800. Thats what I thought a year ago when I bought my 9800 pro (128mb)... lol by next summer there will be some crazy game coming out that requires a gig of texture memory lol... man, nothing eve…

Quote: The new iMac should run DOOM 3 just fine. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked to hear that id got a test mule to play with to ensure that. It wouldn't be the first time they'd used the iMac as a target platform... I would be suprised if the ne…

Basically, Im a cable user and I dont want anything unneccesary added to the airport. It will cost more, and make the product larger. And if YOU have to pay for the modem from ur ISP, maybe its time to get a new one. Most let u have a modem fo…

Why the hell doesnt apple make CRT monitors any more? I would be willing to bet that the majority of computer users use CRT monitors. Why doesnt apple release a nice looking 19" CRT and sell it for like $400?

Quote: Firewire 800. I haven't seen anyone mention this but I expect the next high end models to support the faster firewire standard. Theres no need for firewire 800. Right now the limiting factor in transfer speeds is the hard drive itself.…

Quote: Apple made it pretty clear this week that they don't want to sell a (new) monitor under $1299. However, if the monitors you suggest actually would NOT work stand-alone, but merely be an optional attachment for a headless Mac, that might work…
