It would depend on the mouse you are thinking of. Are there any that you have been looking at? The logitech bluetooth mouse has rechargeable batteries and charges in a dock.

Nevermind. I brought it home and it worked again. I have no idea why this happened.

Mabe someone could write an applescript that starts the screen saver, then you could just put that in the dock and click on it instead of having the hot corner activate it.

You should call apple. you may need to send your powerbook in and they will replace the drive for free as long as it is still under warranty (1 year without applecare)

This happens on some DVD's. I think it has to do with widescreen and fullscreen being on the same disc. I wish there was some way to get it to fill the whole screen. For me this happens on "Top Gun". It works on most widescreen dvds.

You can set the screen to grayscale in universal access, and turn the enhance contrast slider below it all the way up. This turns the screen on my 15" pb to black & white. Why do you need this by the way?

If you have bluetooth, that can wake the computer too. Go into bluetooth settings of system prefs. to not let it wake the computer.

I am not positive, but I don't think applecare will replace the battery because it's capacity decreases.

I am not sure about your first problem, but I have the same thing happen to me with the permissions. Not sure if it is the same file, but I know it is in the system/library folder. I use a 15" pb.

It's only in Canada though

I play halo on my powerbook at 1280 x 854. It can probably go higher, but my display can't.

Pushing the turn off backlight button on the keyboard ( F8 ) should do it, but if not it is in the keyboard and mouse section of the system preferences.
