Looks interesting and might give Wemo and some other HomeKit holdouts a way into the ecosystem. The website does look a little dodgy - San Francisco address but dreadful English.

The reviewer failed to emphasise ATV has AirPlay, which fundamentally means it has almost any app from iOS. I merrily watch Amazon video on my ATV without a skip or a stutter. This I think gives ATV a clear advantage.

EFI surely?

Interesting... I think this marks a new respect for developers. Something Apple has struggled with in the past.

Spamsandwich is right. It connects via Bluetooth and WiFi so as long as you are on the same network you could be quite some distance away.

I don't know why resistance training is 'other' I can only assume that it's because my arms won't be flying around so intensity can't be measured, so what's the heart rate for? I'll be disappointed if the watch can't track resistance training in so…

I think we are seeing a move away from 'wearables' to 'wellness bands' and watches with more and less smart features. Withings new 'watch' being an interesting exception to the rule - it's more a wellness band in the style of a watch, where the oth…

A 1% difference is well within the sampling error, so nothing to see here!

This is going to be very interesting - Visa/Mastercard/Amex (etc) have long since rolled out Chip and PIN globally except in the USA more than a decade ago. I'm in Europe and don't remember the last time I signed for something outside of the states…

This is no way to entice iPhone users to switch really - by insulting them, and everyone else non-Galaxy users. No wonder Apple continues to attract Android->iOS switchers at a faster rate than iOS-Something else switchers.

The irony of these strange facts is not lost on all of us.

Keep calm. It's not released yet. You're basing your criticism on an unreleased version for developers only. It's also subject to NDA so shouldn't be posted here at all. Still, it does make for a more interesting discussion.

Daniel's analysis is, perhaps a bit dramatic, and simplified, is I think quite correct. The repercussions of the jury's understanding and worth on innovation in software - it's value - will be interesting when we live in a world when software is ex…

To correct some factual errors and oversights: Sessions aren't quite as you describe - intensity is set by the user after tagging the workout with the type of exercise undertaken. This means that lifting weights and setting the appropriate intensi…
